Here are some video clips of projects I have directed in various genres - reality, documentary, lifestyle and music. For more clips, please see the home page
I WRECKED MY HOUSE
The Lost Rhapsody of Leo Spellman
Here is a teaser trailer for a documentary I am producing and directing about a 99 year old Holocaust survivor / composer. Please see my home page for more details.
This reality show features outrageous parties thrown by over the top Mamas. Here is the first minute of the Kerrie episode, for which I was nominated for a Gemini Award for Best Director of a Reality Show. (1:00)
OCD: The War Inside
I am very proud of this hard-hitting feature length NFB documentary which has won half a dozen awards and been shown in film festivals around the world. Here are a few clips. (4:00)
The full documentary can be streamed HERE.
Style By Jury
All we wanted to do was give Indranie a beautiful makeover...and then we saw her apartment. This was a tough shoot - however bad it looks on screen, it doesn't quite capture the smell. In the end, we cleaned up her apartment and her life, and gave her a fresh start. (2:20)
Lighthouse - 40 Years of Sunny Days
Lighthouse were about to go into the studio to record a live CD of their classic songs (One Fine Morning, Sunny Days, etc.) in 5.1 Surround Sound. With just a few days to go we decided to film the sessions. I rounded up seven cameras and we were off. The band was in fine form and we knew we had something special. The CD/DVD, which features fifteen great songs as well as commentary, is in stores now and doing well. (2:45)
Made to Order
A beautifully shot series for the Food Network. Here are some clips I have pulled from an episode debating the merits of farmed vs. wild fish. I both directed and edited this episode. (4:00)
Another clip from Party Mamas. People love to tell me how much they couldn't take this woman who was determined to steal the focus from her son's bar mitzvah by singing an original song - yet everybody watched it and still remember her years later. Nobody wants forgettable TV. (3:00)
